Project Manager, Mining & Aggregates

NRM is looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead and grow our mining, aggregates, and industrial minerals work. This role is ideal for someone who can combine technical expertise with strong project management, client relationships, and team leadership to successfully move complex projects from planning through completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage projects involving aggregate and quarry development, mining evaluations, environmental permitting, and resource management 
  • Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, quality, and regulatory compliance 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and internal technical teams 
  • Prepare mining evaluations, technical reports, mining plans, and permitting documentation 
  • Lead and mentor project staff, assign work, and help ensure successful project delivery 
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, data-driven solutions 
  • Support the continued growth of NRM’s mining, aggregates, and industrial minerals practice 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the environmental, engineering, geological, or mining sectors 
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and project teams 
  • Strong knowledge of quarry development, permitting, and environmental regulations 
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills 

Experience with mining, industrial minerals, or aggregate operations is highly valued. Knowledge of GIS, Carlson, AutoCAD, or related industry software is a plus, as are professional credentials such as PMP, CPESC, PE, CPG, or PG.
