NRM is looking for an experienced CAD Technician to support our growing civil engineering and land surveying team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who knows Civil 3D inside and out, takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, and enjoys collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and project managers.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and other survey drawings and exhibits
- Process field survey data and develop surfaces, contours, and digital terrain models
- Build and manage Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks
- Support grading analysis, volume calculations, utility coordination, and construction plan production
- Prepare legal description and easement exhibits
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve design issues and meet project deadlines
- Help maintain quality standards and provide guidance to junior drafting staff
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive CAD experience in civil engineering and/or surveying
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of civil plan production and survey drafting
- Experience processing field survey data and creating surfaces
- Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and legal descriptions
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Experience with Carlson Survey, MicroStation, GIS, LiDAR, BIM, or local municipal and DOT standards is a plus.
